I stopped by a friend's blog today and read a very powerful story about the brutality of domestic violence. Lucky to have never experienced it myself, over time, you begin to recognize signs of abusive homes when you teach for long enough. Please go read M.E. Ellis's blog and then go pick up a copy of Dreams & Desires, Vol. 1. I am an author in this compilation of stories. All the stories were donated by the authors as was the editing and the cover art so that all the net proceeds can go to benefit a battered woman's shelter.

Freya's Bower is having a special on D&D until the end of October. All prices are drastically reduced. Perfect Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, gift to self or any other type of gift, this is the time to pick one up. :)

Most of us have either experienced domestic violence in some form or know someone who has. To stop this horrific disease, we must be proactive. We must educate, report and help support those who are trying to escape a potentially deadly situation. Help us end the violence.

Thanks, Kit. I thought the child's perspective might make someone take action if they are aware this is going on with someone they know.
